The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, has urged parents and guardians in the state to teach their children good morals to become responsible members of society.

Sanusi made the call on Wednesday shortly after inspecting the NCC Industrial Park, Kano, that was vandalized by hoodlums during the nationwide anti-hunger protests.

He expressed sadness that the Park that was scheduled to be commissioned today was destroyed by thugs who were sponsored by enemies of the state.

He said the facility was meant to train about 3 million youths on various ICT skills which would enable them to become self-reliant after graduation.

“Now, they have destroyed the facility, setting back the efforts of the government to achieve this noble objective. This is very sad and unfortunate,” the Emir said.

He then sympathized with all those who lost their properties during the mayhem perpetrated by hoodlums in various parts of the state during the protests and prayed to Allah to restore their stocks to them.

The Emir also inspected the damage done to the Kano Printing Press by the hoodlums and condemned the arson.
“It is clear that some people are hellbent on destroying Kano; God knows them and sooner than later they will be exposed and they will fail in their mission.

“It is also clear that the Youths who participated in the arson were recruited by the enemies of the State. We pray that God guides them to the right path.

“This Printing Press that was build in 1933, even my great grand fathers worked here,”he said.
